Welcome to the Connect Training. When using Connect PSHE, the best way for teachers to support the development of children's wellbeing and resilience is to understand the Psychology that underpins the curriculum. To support teachers' professional development in this regard, at Connect we offer three training options.

At any time, at your convenience, you can access the pre-recorded videos below, which collectively amount to three hours of training. In those videos you will learn about the relationship between PSHE and mental health (useful only for our UK members); some core principles for shaping wellbeing skills; the six ways to wellbeing; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and the DNA-V model; and how to use Connect lesson plans. At the end of the training you will be able to complete a short test, which, once passed, will generate aConnect-PSHE Course Certificate.

On three occasions throughout the year, we will hold a live, online, all day, free webinar. In that webinar, you’ll learn in more detail about the Psychology that underpins the Connect curriculum, with plenty of space to engage in activities and discussions with a leading expert in the field. These sessions will be especially useful for new members, and for those members who have been using the curriculum for a short time but who wish to really solidify their understanding. This academic year, those sessions will take place on the following dates from 930am to 430pm:

  • 7th September

  • 2nd date

  • 3rd date

If your entire school would like an all day, in-person Connect PSHE training, we are able to provide this but for an added fee of £750. Please do contact us at this email address if you’d like to chat about this option.
