Testimonials

“As a psychologist, a researcher, and a mother, I feel so grateful, thankful, and appreciative of this rigorous, well thought-out, structured, data-based and powerful program.

Connect PSHE is a preventative solution for children, families, and practitioners.

This is our challenge; how to bring science and tools to all young children in a pivotal moment and in a sensitive and protective way; how to use what we know before having to act reactively and when challenges bring distress. We want to implement strategies in a universal way and prevent this distress in future. But how?

Connect is a beautiful answer to this question, in a stage where there is no comparable alternative. The program is also a means of prioritizing emotional well-being in school settings where our children spend most of their time and allows their health to be the focus of all partners around them.

We are very thankful for the sharing of the program with our Quebec team and to be part of the spread of Connect initiative internationally!”

“It has been inspiring to see the children developing a clear sense of their world and how they can better manage their thoughts, feelings, happiness and contribution to their community.

The model provides clear language for the children to express their thoughts clearly and the interactive approach has been extremely inclusive and engaging.”

“I found everything to like about the Connect Curriculum. It is evidence informed, positive, values driven and a rich, detailed, and teacher friendly resource that has been carefully crafted to fit in with the latest guidance.

As someone who is particularly keen on mindfulness, but often experiences it as delivered as a bolt on extra, I was particularly pleased to see how mindfulness skills and attitudes both gain specific attention and are also integrated into the wider wellbeing framework in ways that should make them feel live, embedded, and relevant to both pupils and their teachers.”

PROFESSOR KATHERINE WEARE
Emeritus Professor, University of Southampton, co-author of ‘Happy Teachers Change the World’, developer of SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning).

“The training was clear, scaffolded on previous information and used minimal slides, opting for instead more ‘face to face’ contact.

The lesson plans were clear and simple to follow and had bright and engaging visuals to compliment the lesson. I can see that these lesson plans could free up a lot of teacher time and reduce stress, enabling them to prepare for the lesson in less time and spend quality time with the students in the class during the lessons.

Our response to the pandemic should include a robust plan for ensuring we are all equipped to identify and support children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. This programme may help you and your school or company to do just that.”

“We’ve been using Connect with children on an individual level in our clinic and I highly recommend it.  It has great lesson plans, training videos and lots of other useful resources.

Based on the DNA-V model, the entire Connect programme is centred around promoting the social and emotional wellbeing of children and it’s a really nice place to start if you’re thinking about using it in a group or in your centre.”

“The children have really enjoyed learning about DNA-V.  Many express how they find it useful and I have heard them applying it in other lessons like fitness training.”

"As a clinician I am in love with your product. Truly I have never seen something as whole-person as this.

I especially like that there are categories for self-care and stewardship!"

“I think that Connect is amazing, as it delivers a comprehensive program of truly empowering life skills to help children understand what mental health is all about, and develop healthy minds.

This needs to be delivered as a core curriculum programme through schools. The programme draws on techniques which are endorsed by science and psychology, and are based on the popular ACT approach.”
